I remembered 6 short dreams from last night after asking for a healing dream for the gulf. There was one of a group of young children (7 or 8 years old) swimming from out in the ocean towards a pier and then climbing up. They climbed up on the corner of the pier and not in front where I thought they would climb up. They all made it. The dream that was the most vivid, however, was one of a large yellow and black spider that was crawling by my feet. All of a sudden it flips over. The ants come and put a thin sheet of cardboard below and on top of it and then take it away. The next time I look the spider and the ants are gone. I am amazed at the efficiency of the ants.
The sense I get from the spider dream is that the old will be cleaned up. The children making the long swim to the pier in water that had no oil also had a positive feeling.

My Incubated Dreams for Healing the Gulf:
First Dream: Light of Connection
I am in a circular room, the circumference of which has a wire or string that receives electrical impulses. Other people are in the circle. The wire/string lights up when touched. I touch it and it lights up.
2nd Morning Dream: The Race
I am part of a race for people who don’t normally race. I leave a jambox radio/transmitter at the starting line with the people there. I know I will get it back when I finish. A crowd, which I belong to and identify with, is gathered for this event. They are good people.

I had a very full night of dreams…notably 12 Step Groups for persons who use petroleum products —that would be all of us— thus creating the continual need for exploration and drilling. Ponder the healing that happens in a 12 Step program: on-going work, never finished, always evolving as understanding deepens…, energized and supported by like-minded others. Oddly, zydeco music meandered through the night’s dreams…In waking life, I view gulf-coast residents as resilient folks, regularly battered by hurricanes and flooding and yet able to make joyful music. I hold that the music and the groups both can be interpreted as sources of healing for the Gulf. BTW, I was exhausted when I wakened after 8 1/2 hours of heavy sleep. Wondering about other dreamers’ experiences.

Gale and Bonnie … thank you for your dreams! To see more, look at the top of the page where it says “Healing Gulf Dreams” … that’s where most of the dreams have been posted. You can cut and paste yours onto that page if you like, too!
You’ll see there that the themes in both of your dreams:
Spiders, children, and sending and receiving energy/electrical charges
are common among many of the posted dreams!
